Bassmaster Show review
I had to work this weekend and couldn't get to the show I really wanted to she the Dave Manzi Show. Can anyone who was there tell me how he did? I fished with the pants man a few times last year and always had a fine time....
BTW this having to work instead of the striped bass thing has got to go. I'm considering quitting at least one job soon..

I have to give him 5 pikies up. A young gentleman asked him a question and BM gave him a danny. The kid was psyched. Good job Dave

The Show
M.S.B.A. even if I do say so myself put on a great time as usual. Manzi was magnificent to answer that question. We had great vendors this year as always. It seems that the vendors work hard to make their booths stand out. Their was mucho gear going up the escalator carried by our customers who found some great deals from some of the tackle shops at the show. Many of the attendees replied affirmatively when I said see you next year when prompted. The show committee, basicpatrick, bigfish, squidmama, and others who are not on this board really put in a tremendous amount of work to bring it together. BasicPatrick knows more about the room than I think the maintanence guy who works for the landlord did. Of course our own JR put on a fine display of his (our) web site. I have to tell everyone that I was truly astonished at the craftmanship of the lures that JR had to show everyone in regard to selling the raffle tickets at the show. Bernzie, whomever you might be, that gray danny is awesome. So weren't the rest, but I picked up the gray danny first so it will always be my favorite.
I met #^^^^^^^^^^^&, denis from the flyfishing side of this site, and oh yes, I do feel blessed to have met fishweewee. I told my wife about that chance meeting with a guy named fishweewee when I arrived home Saturday and I think she was going to call me a doctor (shrink). She got this funny look on her face and then change the subject to, "how much money did you spend?" I said I had some dough left and she didn't say anything else.
Tights line soon all!

Yeah, it was great, but I kept falling asleep and Bassman18 had to ask a question to BM for me. I was so tried from the night before the MSBA. Good techniques and interesting info, BM. I didn't know what I can use a cheap or a lousy plug to catch a fish if I know how to use it. I don't have to worry about spending on expensive stuffs.

I especailly liked it when he told us about all of his secret spots. Sorry to hear some of you missed it...oh well, there is always next year!
I was the one standing in the back tyring like heck to keep my little guy (13 months)quiet enough so that I could hear all of that good info. Hope he didn't bother anyone too much.

I think BM's talk put Mike from Ava Maria Carters to sleep, everytime I looked over at him , the poor guy was nodding off. Too much nightlife I guess Wakeup Mike

I thought Daves show was pretty darn good answered any questions thrown at him, even some technical ones about how he builds and tunes his plugs. Made a younger fishermans day by giving him a plug and then answering 20 questions... all the time remaining calm.
Dave you have the cutest daughter.

All the seminars were very informative. I really loved Laptew's film of all the whale-sized stripers around Cuttyhunk.
Old Rachet Yap Manzi did OK, for a kid. I really liked his PIXY t-shirt - I bet it goes real nice with his swishy pants.
