michmari plugs?

anyone try them? was in a shop in rhodi last weekend, the poppers looked ok.. seemed a little on the light side..

just wonder if anyone has had any luck with them..

I heard somewhere that piping plover is indian for "tastes like chicken" ..

Hey There. I can't comment on that particular brand but, Make sure they are through wired. I've notices even Gibbs are making some eye screw models now on the smaller ones. I would stay away from eye screws. and go with the through wire. Because after a few times of wet/dry/wet/dry the wood can swell and contract losening the screws and you'd hate to lose a nice fish by failure of a screw.

no they are called michmari and they are custom plugs made in cranston RI.

I found a few and wanted to try them out. Mine are through wire and I attached a single hook on the back. They are paint blems and perfect for bluefish. But they are light and casting them will be tough.

I can probably help you out with an easy idea on adding weight to those lures. If they are too light. You can wrap some solder around the shank of the Hook. It shouldn't effect the performance too greatly and it adds weight. It doesn't scare the fish off either.
