Sweet Stuff Tagger
but those birch or maple needles look like they were turned with dull tools, sharpen them man, or use more sandpaper to get rid of the pits, that is only if you want them to look as good as they will catch

thanks guys .. that stubby is 1.7 ounces..maybe its soft maple .. I ripped 1" rough boards salvaged and stored in a barn for the last 20 yrs.. I should sharpen the tools but whos got time for that,,I look at it as tooth for finish to stick ..

ya, I know you were having some troubles with that lately(the finish)
20 Y.O. wood is good for plugs
have you tried any of the manmade white plastic house trim boards like Celtex 500 for making plugs yet? The stuff floats, but it's a little heavy. great for poppers, needles and I have to try it for darters still.

I have a hunk of 1 1/2 " nylon dowel..I just not sure what to do with it yet .. Finish is good again ,, maybe the warmer temps .. I been measuring acetone and adding to sytems three,,Its flowing great now .. no crawl,,bubbles..voids,, keeping my fingers crossed .. winter + epoxy = crap .. for me anyway.. forced hot air ,, lack of humitity maybe ,, I got a headache
