Hi Everybody!!!

Well the Mackerel are starting to thin out in the Harbor and the Blues are making a strong showing. There was a blitz of fish up in the Fore River the other day, from 10:30 am till 1:00 pm with bustin blues all over. We had some top water action late in the morning on Sunday out in the boat with a very nice size school of bass pushing the bait to the top.

There is still quite a bit of herring around, so if you happen to jig some of these puppies up, they will work just as good as livelining mackerel. Tube and worm is starting to produce better results now that the big bait is thinning a bit and so are eels.

If you get into those schools of surface bass, try using a 3/4 oz chrome creek chub, or a sardine or mackerel pattern yo-zuri mag popper. Those have both been very productive on top. As for soft baits guys have been doing well on 9 inch all white/pearl sloggo's, and 4 inch all pearl shads.

The shore fishing has been on the slow side, but with the mackerel thinning out and the baby bunker starting to show. Things should pick up real soon, so don't give up hope. Just keep trying, you never know what might hit the end of your line!!!

Last Sunday Baicaster caught a 14 lb 1oz bluefish. So there are some big choppers headed to the surf, get ready to hang on!!!!!

metza-metz... doing OK. Liam's crawling (a blast) and Saturday at Bill's party he was crawling as fast as he possibly could trying to catch the dog (wasn't close but it was fun to watch).... This morning as I was leaving the house, he waved goodbye for the first time. That was cool...

That's cool John. Makes it tough to leave for work some days. Wait till the first day he says, "stay daddy" or the eyes well up with tears when you go to leave ... or... the day you say, "don't pick up that hose or you're going to your room" and he sees that you're hands are full, so he picks it up ever so slowly and sprays threw the screen door into the f'n kitchen... yeah, those are the fun days. Sorry, went off on a tangent there.

I told you a couple weeks ago, things are about to get mobile. You'll be chasin' that guy around for awhile now. Don't underestimate what they might get into 'cause there are no limits... enjoy!

Julie... I'm gonna fish tonight for sure. Probably dusk to around midnight at the latest. I'm hitting.. uh, the south shore... fire me an email if you're interested. I think the bottom end of the incoming is the best part of a rising tide there.

hi jul's,
I have been off-line due to modem problems, but i took care of the modem problem at the computor store last weekend. Bought a 1.4 gig Gateway. Hopefully it will be in the mail this week. I on-line at work on my lunch hour right now. I understand that someone I know is back in the old laboratory herself. Having fun. I am going out with a buddy tonight from Scituate harba. Also the logistics are starting to fall into place for the Dodger's Hole encampment. I'll be talking to you when I am up and running at the end of the week at the house. Say hello to BC.

Paece and tight lines
