We have some great people here!!! Clamdigger took my 4 year old and I out for a little fluking trip on Sunday. Even though we got tired after about 3 1/2 hours we had an excellent time and haven't stopped talking about it since.

But of course. We had to work for them though.The fluke were filled up with thiny little crabs about as big around as a pencil eraser.

ben is still talking about what a good time he had and his brother just keeps saying "Me Too".

There was some hope of Pepre' getting one but with a project car to work on now it doesn't look too good for the near future. As much of a hassle as it is to drag a boat around I believe Got Stipers had the right idea with an Aluminum boat on a trailer. With that combo you can go to the fish without having to ride quite so far.

I'd highly recommend a Lund or any solidly built aluminum V-Hull and trailering to anyone that whats to enjoy a multitude of fishing possibilities; without paying the big bucks. My 1996 1890 ProV cost $15,000 used, but in mint condition, but a new Lund 20 foot Alaskan or something similar, I think could be had for similar money. Gas doesn't eat you alive and that is a big concern as you know. No moring or slip fees (Slipknot

) and the ability to fish for multiple species.

Take my typical year. I'll wind up the year at the Thames chasing stripers and will continue until the ice is out up here. Then I'll concentrate on largemouth, pickeral and my favorite eating fish; crappie. Thanks to FW/BC, I put some nice south cape bluefish and schoolie action between my freshwater and the arrival of fresh stripers up our way. Once the stripers are in, I'll launch in Scituate, Hingham, Boston, Plymouth, all depending on weather-wind-bite. September it's off to Maine for some Smallie action. Come late fall, once the bite has slowed to a crawl, it's back to freshwater and hopefully a late trip up to Maine to chase some late season trophy Smallies.

I'd have nothing but high praise for the versitle aluminum V-hull, can't be beat in my boat.

I have a 16' princecraft (canadian made), I have been hesitant to take it out . I use it primarily for duck hunting, it has a 30 horse Mariner it's a 1986 motor, and a 30lb thrust motorguide. I know to take it out would require some more and updated safety equip, a fishfinder,new rods ,vhrf radio, gps and who knows what else. Maybe next year ....
