twitching swimmers: Braid vs Mono

Does anyone consciously change the jerk of the rod tip differently when using swimmers when using mono vs braid?

Of course I change up the amount of jerk to try and find what the fish are looking for. But I am wondering if I always twitch/jigging a little too hard with braid vs mono.

I might be changing back to mono on my rods, I seem to have better luck with mono. My luck when using top-water, like a zara-spook, needle, or popper. I am assume that, because I can see the top water, it is easier to control the twich. But when using swimmers, my luck is not so good with braid, I wonder if I am simply pulling the swimmer too fast/far with the lack of stretch associated with Braid. Had that thought after fishing this morning. I am going to try a more gentle and even shorter twitch next time I am out with a swimmer.

Thank you
