Thanks - I'm really hoping for a speedier system. I know a lot of people were turned off by the blazing speed of the previous boards...
Eventually - the other stuff like Private Messaging and customizable interfaces will be available - you'll be able to configure how YOU want it to look on your system - stuff like that...
But again thanks and again - sorry for the downtime over the weekend...
John

Testing my signature.
So far it looks good, but I'm still playing
Hey John, I've tried all kinds of ways to put http://www.rgsiroisco.com/fisherman.gif as part of my signature, like I had set up before. I get the link to work, but the gif itself isn't there as an integral part of the signature. I'm sure it's something simple, but help a computer dummy out please.

Using the proper scripting, it didn't work, I'll look into it.
But how's that - running the avatar below your name?
I reduced the size a little so it would fit...

That works for me John.
It's a little smaller than before, but that works too. I edited the profile signature to eliminate the link.

I guess that's just about right . Cool board John, I love the way you can edit everything. The instant paste smilies is a great feature, but the selection is small...any more coming?

Ayyyup, When I get some better smilies, I'll put them up - as well as the Avatars...
To all you edgumicated people out there - WTH is an Avatar? Not in the message board sense but where was the term lifted from?

AVATAR: " In Hindism, descent of a god into the world of human beings for the duration of a human lifespan. Avatar is similar to the Christian concept of incarnation but is different in two ways. First, a Hindu god can become incarnate in many places at the same time through "partial" avatars while the main form from which the Avatars emanate remains entirely "full" and can converse with the "partial" forms. Second, the Avatars do not fully participate in human suffering or lose the knowledge and power of their divine nature. "
.......Hey, you asked, I delivered! Actually you had me curious so I had to go look it up....
