T-top
If anyone is interested in having a T-top put on their boat, now is the time. A guy just opened a T-top business in Salisbury. He did my boat and does quality work. He is pricing them low to try to make a name for himself. Attached is a picture of my boat. Let me know if you are interested

Not a bad looking top! What grade of Aluminum is he using? Is he TIG or MIG welding? Is it Aluminum pipe or tubing?
Does he do the canvas work too?
There are alot of small businesses popping up doing tops and posts with the boating market being strong. One would think a good deal could be found just like your mentioning. Most places have prices that will make your head spin.

It's brushed aluminum pipe, as far as welding I'm not sure. He doesn't do the canvas work, he has a woman do it for him. He finished the top in under a week. The price to do the top was half of the quotes I got from 2 other places.

its brushed anodized sch 40 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 legs........with a double ring for the top prob 1 inch ......tig welded.......................sounds about right..............jim.........  ..  |

t-top
Looks like a very good quality t-top, and a good gauge aluminum. I can't see the whole top, but the one bone I'll pick with it is that the vertical members (especially on the stearing side) do not curve to follow the shape of the console (could be just because I can't see the whole thing).
But you want your t-top to somewhat follow the contours of the console so you don't have to step around the veritical supports and otherwise bang your head and arms on them.

Does he also do Leaning Posts? I'm negotiating with this guy in Florida who makes his own. He is getting me this for $515.00. It includes the Rocket lauchers, a flip up foot rest and a metal storage area under the seat. It is 38" wide. I love the price the shipping from Florida really sucks.

Give the guy a call, he made my leaning post. I'm very happy with it. I may bring it back to have a jumpseat that folds down off the back of the leaning post installed/made.

I did the wiring down the outside myself. When the season is over I will snake the wires down internally. But I just wanted the boat asap so i could get out there and fish. There will be plenty of time during the winter when i ca wire it right.

sea gar the concealled wiring is simply done when fabrication takes place............holes under the joints should have been done prior to weld up.........hope it works out well...........jim..........  |
