Post Trouble Sleeping

This thread isn't about sleeping. Today I sold my home. We bought our house 8 yrs ago. we gutted, remodeled, landscaped it and made it our home. We've been very happy here. I grew up next door so when the this house went up for sale we made it our first home. The worst part about leaving is missing my partents who still live the next house over and having three kids they've helped us in everyway possible...its not going to be easy. On the bright side. I couldn't be happier then having my brother being the new owner. Our new house is bigger, seems like a better neighbor hood and only 3.1 miles from padnarum boat ramp and closer to hunting/surf turf. Those things are all great but what I want the most is the reassurance that my kids and family find good honest people to live near. I beleive that no matter how good of a neighbor hood you find theres always gonna be good and bad and your partenting skills should never change. Funny how you can sometimes be scared and excited all at the same time.

Theres a few guys I've met through the site that have been there so I just thought I'ld let you's know.

Best of luck Goose, we just went through it last August and the new house still doesn't feel like "our" house yet. You put so much into not only the house but the people around you that it's a tough thing to do. It was really tough for us because of my son and his friends/school/etc.

Look to the future!

My neighborhood is the balls!!!
there is close to forty kids on my street ,most of them being the same age as my 2. one of each.
Every year we shut down our street & have our annual block party,We get a clown for the kids, rent out one of those bouncy things, games for the kids & other cool suff for the kids. Not to mention a keg for us adults. It been 9 years and running.
Every Thanksgiving weekend we put together a X-Mas float.& drive it up Main St.It's pretty cool. This year we won $250 bucks!

We go camping with these guys & there kids for long weekends not to mention outer State Vacations as well.
Chit ,we even get together on snowy Sundays get a fire going bring the TV out side watch the Pats play and toss back a few

Plus it's a safe neighborhood!

The only pit fall is my wife & I wish it was bigger......We might move some day but I don't think that we'll find a closer knit group of friends.....
Yup it's kinda like Mr.Robinsons friggin neighbor hood!

O yeah one other thing.it's only 44.5 miles to the Canal.
