Anti Virus

I got 3 months of Norton free with my most recent laptop. Now the update subscrition is running up. Should I spend the $$ on Norton? Macafee? Something else?

Any and all thought are welcome.

I've always liked Norton and thought it to be the best. But I don't use their home product. I've had the occassional problem w/ mcafee but its not bad.

You definitely want something

You can always pick up McAfee at Walmart for $30.00 or $50 for the professional version. Comes with a free 1 year subscription, I believe, unless terms have changed.

I hear you jugstah, I'm at the point where I'm either going to pay for MacAfee or Norton. Just trying to get an indication on which might be better and why.

Either will be fine, though I generally go with McAfee whenever a friend or a client of mine wants AV put on their computers...

Either will do the job, just expect that at the end of the 1st year, you'll be wanting to purchase a new version of AV cuz the subscription rates are not worth it.
