How long before they go by the wayside.I hope the new owners can turn things around.Stan Gibbs was THE true pioneer in our craft today it would be a shame to see the company wit his Name on it go down the tubes.it's getting tougher an tougher to manufacture a product of any kind in the USA wit all the cheaper imports that flood the market.I don't think a twenty dollar hand Made wooden lure is a far fetched idea anymore in this economy.but who will pay for em as most the bass guys i grew up wit are notoriously cheap.

I think especially with the longetivity of some of the custom wood out there $20 is reasonable, as ridiculous as it sounds.

I've got a Tattoo Darter and a Beachmaster Danny that are several seasons deep and I use them regularly. If they aren't lost to bluefish, cow bass, or snapped off by over zealous casting they'll go years more. There are plenty of less expensive plugs I'd have to buy several times over during that timeframe. False economy...

Gibbs needs to step up and compete with the custom stuff, or at least get closer to the build quality and lifespan of the customs. Customs aren't necessarily easy to get your hands on, but if you're looking they aren't that hard to get either.

I will say, from my viewpoint, the current crew at Gibbs has been great to work with. They have product ready to go at all times enabling me to offer a VERY complete selection at the shop. I can order on Monday and get plugs on Tuesday.
