Notice the sand on the Big redwood! Things a battle ship going up river.
Little round head pikie AKA Lil Shirley swam great all four inches of it.
Have to say I was happy with all the test swims. They all said eat me with little effort.

psssst slip notice the handle on the Nautil Told you I'd get rid of that ugly bannana handle! Turned it on my lathe from a piece of red oak fire wood. Then lemon oiled bath to get the oils in there good. Wasn't hard to do either!

Fluk I made them all bunch of types, round heads with surfster lips, swim with a big push lof water like a conn Yankee. Non weighted flatheads with pikie lip with the belly hooked used as a balance point. This gives it a head down with an s tail motion. Some carved metal lips that throw far and stay on top. Striper pikies were sweet on top all the way with a sweet swim. All in all a nice day of pluggage swimming

I have one more I made if you want it. But you'll have to do the finish work. I used the brass screwthingie in the bannana handle to attach the wood handle. I'll do a post on what I did when I get a chance to take some pictures but your welcome to the other handle.
Karl I hope to bring trade bait to the Cape but first I need to make some money for plane and hotel and other expensives. I've had some bad luck lately and the cash flow is dead.

Actually I think it was birch. Only cost a buck and I was there. Next one will get some kind of paint or maybe a mermaid decal
