COD/HADDOCK

my season starts tomorrow - any word if the fish are in tight yet? I'd have to guess they are with the herring starting to show.
But, east of the bank is the destination if they're not close by.
I can't wait to be back on the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fishsmith. I wet a line around dumping grounds x 2 saturday's ago and only very small cod, few red perch and a Wolf fish. No decent sized cod then. Hopefully now though. Did get a bunch of 18 to 19 inch though. hope this helps.

76 miles traveled for a few keeper cod and a couple of haddock, plus a fair share of shorts (reeling in 300 - 400ft of line for a short fish ). The weather was great and wind died down as the day progressed, that never happens, but it just added to great day on the water.
Just ate my first fresh cod this season sooo goooood. I'm tired.

it worked out to about $19lb. But if I'm not fishing I want to be boating so it's all good.

I feel the same way, it I were worried about the cost per pound, I'd be at Shaws or Stop & Shop. It just feel great to get out there.
