I did everything wrong, but...

Well, I went out Saturday night to the west wall with a couple friends. We had bought some fresh bunker and we were going to chunk for blues. We got there just after low tide, as the sun was setting. We sat with our lines out for about an hour, just talking and enjoying the evening, when Antone( one of the people I fish with) got a hit. It was a small blue, about 3 pounds. The tide was still very low, so I had to climb down into the rocks to grab the leader( all three poles were set up with size 6 mustad live bait hooks on silver wire leaders). No sooner did I hit the seaweed line than my pole bent in half. I leapt over the rocks and grabbed the pole and set the hook. About 15 minutes later Antone was climbing down the rocks to grab my 41" 27 lb. striper. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I never expected to get that fish there. It's my second fish over 40 inches and I just wanted to say that it just keeps getting better!
