oooop's

Oh well so much for that experiment. Not to say it won't work but it took the wind out of my sails last nite. Of all the people too. A-hole and Chef the 2 guys I hate most in baseball. Manny's outfield skills have to be classified as unique to say the least. I had to laugh at that play last night. Oh well better luck tonite. Paul

saw the highlights.

i respect schilling for taking responsibility like he does.
he admits he screwed up when he thought he was on his A game, but obviously wasn't.

Two red sox relief pitchers coming off the DL get to face Sheffield and AROD, Welcome back to the big league boys.

I wish Shill and Timlin could of switched spots, but hindsight is 20/20.

"the red headed girlfriend" (thank you Carl Everett) Dan Shaughnessy has a great line in todays globe -

"And so Day 1 of the Great Schilling Closer Experiment is in the books and it's already getting reviews normally reserved for Ben Affleck."

Tonight we get to face a pitcher with a 9 era, lets hope our bats go to work.

Go Red Sox!!

A lot of blame pie to go around last night.
Rock and Roll Arryo can not get lefties out.
Bad defense at the corners.
Belhorn is a rally killer.
Relief pitching was terible.

Not to sound the panic button, but I think the Sox are pretty nervous behind closed doors......to have both Schilling AND Foulke lose so much of their velocity and not really know why in either case is pretty scary. Let's hope it is just because of their leg injuries, and they can both get back to theirold levels once fully healed. But I think th Sox are very concerned about both of these guys being one-year wonders for them.

If there's one thing the Sox are good at, its preying on bad pitching. Even Bellhorn.

Very true Bigcat.....Bronson was horrible I thought...and I have had enough of Millar...last night was the last straw for me...I have been quiet about him this whole time, but his defense is un-acceptable....that was a tough throw from Mueller after a great play .....but Millar should have scooped that one up....that homerun was just what A-Hole needed too....now he has the Red Sox monkey off his back....not looking good guys...they better figure something out...if they are not going to bring some of those kids from P-tucket...then trade them for some players...not doing us any good wasting time down there.

I still hate the Yanks.....maybe more than ever.

Manny plays left field pretty good in Fenway,on the road is another story.
If I was building a team it would be around Manny. When all is said and done he will be one of the best right hand hitters to ever play the game

Those of you who under estimate Manny in the field...open your eyes! He plays way above average in left and is always top 1 or 2 in outfield assists.....poor outfielders do not rate that high in outfield assists. He also runs down many balls that you think are uncatchable. More often than not he makes a play in the field that is great....not often he pulls a boner! Can't think of a better left fielder can you? And a bat to boot!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

The only reason he has so many assist's is no body respects his arm. They all run on him so he has many more chances. Take a Vlad G. no one even thinks to run on him so he has less assist's. I have to disagree with you he is average at best in the field, not way above average but he is good enough. But add his offense and you can live with his fielding. Don't get me wrong I like him I said he was unique not bad but he is no Yaz in the field.

yeah please don't mention boats this thread will be hijacked. Pretty similar big bats and good enough in the field. I like em both. I would rather have a great hitter than a great fielder that can't hit anyday. BTW Rice should be in the Hall.
