Great Night At "Plug Night 3" at MSBA!
I would like to thank all those who made "Plug Night 3" a success starting with Bobbike and BasicPatrick and new MSBA VP Reelecstasy.......these three ran around just as much as I did to make things happen last night and I thank them all.....as always we make a great team and by Gawd things get done! I would like to thank all of the vendors who came, spent the evening and gave generously to the event....I hope you all enjoyed it as well! To all who attended I would like to thank you for coming and I hope you had a great time......because of all digging deep we were able to raise $1,326.00 for the NBIA Association! Also I would like to thank Steve "Flaptail" Shiraka for speaking and bestowing more knowledge upon us all....he was great as always...thanks Steve! I would like to thank Slipknot and Bassmaster for offering their time to do turning demos even though yours truely forgot to bring the tool rests along with the lathe! To Fishermom and Kathy Fillman thanks for selling the raffle tickets all night! Also thanks to the folks who helped with setup and you know who you are....thanks again! It was a great night.....saw much wood flying around the room.....awesome stuff there as always....I must say if anyone missed out on the Chumbucket lures he made......these were the most awe inspiring things I have laid eyes on.....hand carved works of art to the "Nth" degree! I was as always amazed at the turnout from this site.....must have been at least 50 or 60 members there....maybe more!
Thanks again all for making it a success!

Oops.....Was into fish, blitz from 1400 to 1900, looked at phone when I got back to the Blazer, had 8 voicemails and had missed window to get to Plugfest.......TDF, how did you do?
Up this way, Jules' teasers and 2" curlytails by Storm are getting it done. Had 3 doubles!

Lots of cool stuff last night, great presentation by Flap, though the heckling signifigcantly reduced from last year. Great seeing all the Jersey folks come up between NJTACKLE and Dave and Chum and the others (good to meet you all). I won a Tagger Ballerina that Clammer drooled on... It was like Plug Fest but with beer
Nice job by the MSBA Guys and gals last night

I really enjoy getting meet some of the people from the site, as well as running into old friends from here as well...

Great Time
Thanks 2 BFL and everyone who helped out, nice time and great people.
Just wish it was closer to my house, the drive could have been better
Flap gave an unreal plug history for everyone, looked like a bunch of goo goo eyes sitting watching him ...lol
Nice to also see the dealers selling plugs and equipment.
I have been to a few GT's and still don't know "1/2" the crowd. Maybe a into next time so we all can put a name with a screen name with a nick name with a real name.
And Mr Chumbucket surprised everone with stuffed pogies on the menu

Hey Vineyard Blues, next time stand on a chair and yell all S-B.commers in the corner for a meet and greet. Then you wont be so BLOO all the time. You'll have more friends, mirth, and joviality in your life.

Chum's lures make me want to take a hammer to my lathe.Unbelievable work, I wouldn't a been surprised if they stank today from not being on ice. Perfect! Tagger you shouldn't have, but I'm happy as heck you did, can't wait to fish'em. Flaptail, thank you very much! Professor Moriarity, I still stunned at those metal needles, thanks for the trade! What a GREAT time I had. Dave, I still can't believe you drive all the way from NJ!!! I'll never whine about the drive again! Kudos to BigFish and his crew!!

Thanks to Larry and all the people who made the event possible. Some very nice plugs there. I really enjoyed Flaps talk on the history of plug making, some of the people who made them, and how to work certain lures. A fun night had by all.

I wish I could have made it, but I had business engagements, which ran into a diner meeting to boot . The new job is a blessing and a curse, I love the benefits and security, but I miss the freedom of being self employed.

FUN
Thanks to MSBA for the invite. Thanks to all for the trades. Wish I had more to trade. Next time. Great to put faces to names. Nice job by all involved with setting up the event. Nice to see a good chunk of change going to a good cause. The plug builder's workmanship is unparalled anywhere, both comm. and private builders. I got the Zombie Woof behind my eyes today though. Got home at 12 from show up at 8 to the beach all day with wife and kid then all the way home clean boat turn right around and go back to Cape to work till 1 Am. Still not as bad as JPI had driving too and fro NJ though. I am already thinking about Plugfest. Paul

Chum and I also had a great time. The plugs, the presentation by Flap and everything else was great. The drive to and from NJ was worth it. The raffle prize made it even better. We fished the Canal afterwards, then headed home.
Thanks to everyone involved in the show and thanks for making us feel at home. Hope to be up that way again soon.
