Cool Darters

Can anyone on this post describe a step by step method for making a darter?
It looks like it's a hard plug to make but I'd like to try making one .
Thanks , JB

they are really hard, yet really simple. in a nutshell, you turn the body, which is a subtle shape.. a nice tapered tail and a slight turning where the mouth cut should be.. through drill it, use a band saw to cut the mouth and upper lip, then use a belt sander and slowly sand away the slope on the head.... it takes a good eye to get all those cuts square.

It is best to set up some type of jig to allow you to make the angle cuts all the same. You can do the mouth and the top on a bandsaw.
