I'm not going to knock Vinatieri,
But they don't let kickers in the hall of fame too easily , nevermind on the 1st ballot!

Longevity Ron...how many Championship games and Superbowls did he win with his foot? "0" thats how many...maybe a great kicker but under the pressure of a Superbowl win, in a snow bowl with a Superbowl berth hinging on his foot???? He has not had to perform in the same situations as Vinateri.....and you just throw him up there cause he was a Raider!  |

Please....Ray Guy couldn't hold Vinatieri's jock for practice..........clutch versus an "also-ran"..............sure, Ray Guy was good, but please, Vinitieri has 3 rings.....2 he won on final kicks.... |

All I said id that they don't vote kickers (special team players as a whole) in the hall on the 1st ballot, just look back in history!!! |
