Thumbs down I hate these commercials!!!

You know the ones I'm talking about.....

the ones with a blindfolded spouse is being led out to the driveway where they find out they're getting a new Lexus for Christmas?
I got major grumpage when I saw the first one sometime around Thanksgiving.

Am I alone on this one or not?

like gee why didnt you just buy her a whole friggan country while your at it...as a stocking stuffer...

and how many couples or husbands have so much extra cash laying around that they can just boogy on down to their nearest lexus dealer and pay cash for a car without their spouse knowing about it....

it's so far from reality that its disturbing....

I hate ALL commercials. They play the same ones over and over and over and OVER again, which is why when there is a show we want to watch, we simply pause our Comcast dual-tuner DVR, go make snacks, or take a shower, or whatever, then come back 10-15 minutes later, watch the show, but FAST FOWARD through all the commercials. We also just outright record quite a few shows which also affords us the opportunity to skip right through all the repeats of repeats of repeats of whatever lame-a** commercial they're playing for the beejillionth time.

I am a flicker
I click to other stations when the commercials come on and go back to the show when they are over.
The power of the clicker

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

My young daughter HATES the Bob's commercials !

My wife HATES ALL of the car commercials where they show a spouse giving another spouse a car! More than one company does them now. What kind of BS is that?!@#

I HATE the VW car commercials - I guess it portrays the kind of customers they want to buy their cars. :P

We like that goofy commercial w/ the "RANCH TOOTH" - something about it just made us LOL. I wish I taped it.

Angry and now

they have taken it a step further.....

by playing a short commercial twice in a row to further pound their product into our subconcious.....it's real close to subliminal advertising which was made illegal.

did you know that if you watch an info-mercial just 37 times you literally have to buy it....because your brainwashed.

i watched this documentary on commercials ok ...and this was the one where the girl comes out of the ocean in a bathing suit and gets
handed a coke.... the target audience has this device on their head
that focuses a light beam curser on the screen showing where your
eye's are focussed... so subdivided into 4 areas... c = her crotch area, b= boobs area
f = face area and s= the soda can... and it went like this....
bbbbbbbcccc bbbbccffccbbbcccbbbcbcbcbcbcbcb s f s and thats how they decided to scrap the ad because not enough attention was on their product.

All they would have had to do was ask me what I was looking at! I'd have been honest

Talking new technology

and now they have taken it even a step further...

with functional magnetic resonance imaging or F.M.R.I.

where they can measure stimulation to specific brain areas...

when the subject is exposed to certain stimuli

here's an example of your brain catching on fire lol

Trust me, I'm not in this leaugue for these (yet) but I am in the position to know. These commercials are not targeted necessarliy at Christmas but, at year end bonuses. The financial and sales organizations pay out major $ at year end. These are in the thousands, 10s of thoussands....milllions. Not uncommon at all. These folks will have the cash to walk in and get a Lexus for a gift.

Yeah Jimmy, thats what I was gonna say. You'd be surprised how many wealthy people there are, especially in the North East. Most of the advisors I work for in the industry clear 7 figure bonuses

Well Jimmy How do you know about them year end bonuses? Somebody work for a major FS firm in BOS?
In some cases, the year end bonus including incentives exceeds the salary comp.
The best thing you can do is reinvest it in something of enduring value not material value. Buy a Van Staal for the holidays!! For all your family and pets. Store them in your new boat!!

I am so sick mine would have read "ooooooooooo bcb ooooooo"
The company would have then realized I was looking at the "O"cean for birds, bait or rips.

I get a kick out of the latest commercial for Jordans furniture that they claim they are doing something they have never done before,
and marking down ALL accesories by 30%
A coworker of mine comes over to me laughing the other day after hearing the commercial.
His wife used to work there and told him that they mark everything up 200% !!!
So if they are offering this great deal of marking down accesories by 30%, that adds up to only 170% they are screwing you !!!
