AH I've had a few break over the years. They will scare the crap out of you. This one was the biggest I've ever had, sometimes you can tell when they are about to break as they go chink chink chink as they spin, this one just went BAM and broke. I've never had one come out of the machine but have heard of others who have and it's not a pretty sight.
Raven I've had to clean out 3 nests this year in my truck engine compartment, luckily the little bastids haven't chewed anything. yet.

Weak Valves
Thom,
I knew this kid from high school that was standing next to an underrated vale in an ice cream plant. There wasn't enough left of him to fill up a quart size jug after it exploded.

Be carefull there Scotty ol boy! Hey, I went by this house in Northbridge on Christmas Day that made the Griswolds look like amateurs, even had thier own radio link for x-mas tunes. You ever see that place? Must have been 20 cars parked in front just looking.
Hope you is well and had a good x-mas and a great new year. One time soon I will stop by when up visiting the relatives there in Northbridge/Uxbridge.

Flap you were right near my house I'm right near the West Hill Dam off Hartford Ave. Bridge is closed right up the street from the flooding. The house around the corner of us won best in Metrowest in the newspaper.

Yup, was ugly... Was enough skin left on the bit to clone another Canalman...
Not that we'd want that...

spade bits suck. I hate them things. Be careful Dave. I wear heavy leather gloves when I work on the drill press now...and use a footswitch so it kills power very quickly. I've had too many arguments in that dept myself.

That's a good idea, I'll have to rig one up for him before I have to drive him to the hospital again.
