FF vs IE

So... what is it that some of you like better about FF over IE? I've only been using FF 1.5 for about a week now, and the only difference I can see is that the icons on the toolbar are too big, there don't seem to be any advanced settings for Authenticode, Active X, or scripting, and graphics often load painfully slowly. also, I can't seem to get QuickTime to load as a plug-in. There Are some nice user settings in Options, but mostly I'm finding the whole thing to be slow and cumbersome. What am I doing wrong, or what am I missing? I should mention that I'm no PC genius.

To reduce the size of the toolbar icons:click View then Toolbars then Customise and check the box next to Use Small Icons.

Plugins...see F18s post.There are also lots of extensions which give you all kinds of versatility and themes(skins) to change the look/feel. Its simplicity is refreshing.

Authenticode is a Microsoft term.In Firefox click Tools then Options then Advanced then Security.There are 4 buttons under certificates.Tweak away.Never had scripting issues with firefox,which I can't say about IE.I've always been notified when Active X is required and am given options.I stay away from anything containing Active X controls.

I've found Firefox does everything faster than IE.Why its slow and cumbersome for you I can't answer.All I know is I will never use IE again if I can help it.

fire fox is for surfing the unsafe sites that take advantage of the security holes in IE. So when you are searching for software cracks or certain inappropiate sites FF works great.

IE should be used for sites inside a corporate office ONLY!

I already have Quicktime 7.0
How do I "plug it in" to Firefox? When I visit a page that requires QT, I get a yellow message bar at the top that informs me that addtional plug-ins are required to view the page. When I follow the links, I ultimately end up at the QT d/l page. As I said, QT 7 has been installed on my machine for some time now, but it isn't "pluged-in" to FF.
