Gel coat repair?

Wondering if anyone knows how to fix Gel coat scratches? A couple of deep ones from the cleats on the gas dock! do they make a simple material? Thanks in advance!

Would you use a normal auto repair spray gun to shoot this?

yep, even one of those pump up bottles from autozone. you can use one of those ultrafine rollers too.
i also see no mention of a mold release there.
gel coat takes forever to dry(maybe 3 days or longer} if you don't put mold release on it. it's basicly a thick spray soap. you spray it on{can use windex spray bottle) after you spray the gel coat. an hour later, wash it off. you have to get it out of the open air so it can cure. you can use saran wrap or wax paper too..

Do not skip the mold release step......trust me, or should I say learn from my brother's experience. (Sorry bro, nuthin I can do for you now.)I have gotten it with it's own pump bottle.

There are two kinds of gel coat. The ones used by the boat builders are anerobic cure, which means they won't cure in air. The boat builders spray them into the mold first and then add the fiberglass and resin. There is another type that will cure in air, make sure you get that kind and you don't have to worry about all the mold release crap. West marine carries both types.

Acetone takes it right off. Not the best thing for you, but it works.
