What retrieve works for you?
For me it's a standard trout streamer retrieve. Strip , strip pause. I vary the speed depending on the conditions. FishHawk

All of them - depending on the conditions. Sometimes it's no retreive at all (dead drift).
Best regards,

All but that two hand fast retrieve just can't get the nack of that one.
best is long quick strips with a pause after say the 3 or 4 strip.

I never try to limit what may work.
I'll try them all. And when things get desperate,,, invent.
Of course I find drifts hard in slack waters.

I don't like the two handed cow milking retrieve myself.

where there's current, try the give-and-take retreve. pull in 4"-6" of line, then feed it back into the current. The fly works back and forth as it is swinging. deadly at times.
