post regret

I've said some pretty stupid chit on here in the past. I look back and think.. man that was dumb of me to think that and write that. Recently I got my deer-cam ripped off, at that moment I was very pissed and the thought of revenge crossed my mind but as the day went on it just went away. I have been furtunant to have never had camera's or trees stands taken and I used to think so help them if someone steals from me because I will seek revenge. Shame on me to think that way!
Which brings up some advice I gave here on this site awhile back ago. Someone here on s-b had some vandalism done to his boat trailer, I am not trying to bring back that incident. Anyway, I advised him to seek revenge(ten fold),,, with alot of time he'll forget then like a theif in the night you dishout a set of your own punitive damages. Looking back I say not only is that the wrong advise to give but what the hell does that say about me. It didn't take my camera to get stolden to realize I messed up, I knew I messed up shortly after writing that. That's one regret I'm sure theres more

to know thyself is key...

as long as you learn from the experience

it's a good thing....

next time you'll have to have a super minature camera hidden to watch your other camera...to see who takes it.

Goose I dont think I have ever read one of your posts and said "what a bad person"!

Either way though if YOU feel it whas wrong then you have done the right thing. And who wouldnt respect that???? to err is human, to admit their error takes a better person!

Simplify.......

I also think you're being too hard on yourself. In the heat of the moment, most of us wish to exact revenge upon those who have done us wrong. Usually by the next morning, you calm down and realize that in many instances, there's nothing you can do about it. The fact that you're able to recognize it and show restraint tells me that you're a good role model for your children.
I've never met you Goose, but based on your posts that I've read here on S-B.com I think you're a good person, father, and sportsman. And no matter how you perceive some of your post regrets, I don't think anyone here thinks any less of you either. Stop beating yourself up and take me 'tog fishing soon.

The future ain't what it used to be. --Yogi Berra
