Bug Off
What repellent do you find works best, not just for skeeters, but for no-see-ums and green heads?

Muscol. It's around 99% deet.....and probably takes years off your life, but it works great.

Cutter Advanced.
No stink,no greasiness. You don't even know you got it on.Except the bugs leave you alone. And much safer than products with DEET.I'll never use anything else again.

Waist- to- head Mosquito- netting zip- up "jacket"... & gloves on my hands in extreme bug situations (though rare for me, as I avoid windless nights in Summer... & relish wind-in-face fishing!)...
Avon Skin-So-Soft has worked for me when bugs are not too crazy! Just don't go home to the GF (or wife for you marrieds) wearing it late- night... or she won't believe you were really fishing! (You'll still smell "sweet" even over Eel & pogy & Bluefish residue!)

Ben's is good stuff, but most stuff with deet works decent. For me cutter advance was a joke, stopped using it after 2-3 trips. Thought maybe I didn't apply enough or had sweat it off, but it just didn't work and couldn't keep anything away from me.

Just the opposite for me.Works fantastic for me.
The bugs will still buzz around you but they won't bite

Wish I could say that, got bitten like I wasn't wearing anything at all. Let me also say I'm one of those who always gets bitten before and far worse than most anyone else when outdoors. I always hate it when I'm getting bitten up and others are saying I'm not even being bothered by them. I've read that some people based on their blood type and body metabolism give off like a feramone/hormone type thing that makes them more desireable/attractive to biting/parasitic type insects.

I read where it is your body giving off carbon dioxide so the more your body puts off the more bugs you draw. I have the same problem with bugs. and I hate them

Don't worry too much about that DEET taking some years off your life. If you live too long, you won't be able to effectively surf fish in the right structure anyway.

Green Ban for People works the best for me. I've tried all the super deets out there and they really don't compare to this stuff. It is all natural though, citrus and peppermint oils.
