SimRad CE33

Hi,

I recently bought a used boat and the guy just called me to see if I want to buy the SimRad CE33 for $400. The boat already has the through-hull transducer and antenna for the GPS. I'm not familiar with SimRad components, any recommendations appreciated. He said that he paid $2500 3 years ago.

I'm not familiar with that unit, but Simrad makes A number one stuff.

Good unit - i've got the larger one (eq44, 1 kw) and its great. He's not bsing you on the retail either. Go for it - you won't be dissapointed.

Is it the standard, or high performance airmar transducer?

Hi,

don't sure how to tell the transducers apart, but this one is about 12"
long and pointed on both ends. The guy is sending the unit to me so that I can try it when I get the boat in the water. If I like it and everything works, I can buy it. Seems like a good deal. I haven't heard anything bad about the units.

thanks for all the input.
