Bluefish limit
Is there a limit in Mass as to how many you can keep, how long they need to be?..Is there a commercial license needed to sell? And how do the limits affect the commercial fisherman. versus the shore guys???.No boat fisherman..Just shore...Thanks

10 fish per day - no minimum size...
Why would anyone other than Clammer want to kill 10 bluefish a day??

the limit is 10 blues no length limit. you need a comercial permit that specifies that you are fishing from shore.blues get about 50 cents a pound generaly and stripers get about $1.50 a pound. i am not a comerical myself but i have friends who are.

mass recreational limit is 10 fish per person per day no size limit.
You need a commerical permit to sell - either the boat permit or rod and reel license - I don't think that there is a trip limit. Usually bring in 50-75 cents per pound reefed out. Not alot, so most are sold as bycatch during commercial bass season.

no trip limit = as many as you can catch.
There is no endorsement (special permit) needed, but you do need to have the general commercial license.

Bake bluefish in the oven with a brick next to it. When it's done throw the fish away and eat the brick, it tastes better.

The guy I hunt geese with has a similar recipe for duck. Take a large stone and after you've cleaned out the duck and marinated it, stuff the rock in its cavity. Then bake as usualy, with all the spices taters etc.. carrots, spices etc... When its done take out rock, throw away the duck and eat the rock...

Bluefish? Sure I'll take them, but no more than a dozen or so, I don't have a lot of shark charters booked yet. The bigger the fish the better.

Was in Whole Foods Market the other day and they had bluefish for sale at 7.99 a pound. Not something I would ever buy. Awfully fun to catch though......
