OK here's the poop

On The Water got back to me and admitted it erred in making BI Fishworks the only Striper Cup Official Weigh Station on Block Island given the fact that Chris has other commitments and responsibilities (harbor master and charters) and that what happened to me and what I went through to get my fish weighed shouldn't have occured. Twin Maples will be set up as another Official Weigh Station with in the next 2-3 weeks (scale to be calibrated and certified and receive Official weigh slips). That being said my Official weigh in is what they are using not my weigh in at TM. I'm not happy that it happened to me but glad I was able to have this addressed and straightened out for future catches at the pork chop. Good luck to all that go out there.

I don't know Chris, because the place is always closed. John at Twin Maples is good people and I was kinda surprised that he wasn't the weigh in shop.
your still getting your 40 pound pin which is great. and I am glad you addressed to problem. because what we went through should have never happened. catching a 49" 44 pound striper should be a celebration not a hasle

Yeah Twin Maples has always been the surfcaster's connection on the Island. Any fisherman's for that matter. John is a good guy and so was his dad Mac. It's nice not to have to go somewhere else for an official weight. All's well with the world again. I've been acquainted with them for probably 40 years now. Wow.
