emergency rooms suck !!!

I cut my hand today at work, deep enough that I needed 6 stitches!
So someone from work drives me to Norwwod hospital at 12:30.
5 F#%$#@ing hrs waiting in the emergency room waiting to get 6 stitches!!!

I got a good laugh reading the sign on the wall that read
"You have the right to an interpreter of your choice"
It had 2 dozen languages listed and instructions for you to point to your language for help!!!

LETS GO BRANDON

what sucks is crashing the bike, knowing you have broken shattered bones and have to wait there for an hour writhing in pain waiting for a shot of demerol while others get treated for coughs and runny noses.

If you called an ambulance and they took you there they would have seen you right away, they bring you in a side door and the people waiting never see you being brought in.

I hope your hand is alright

It costs an arm and a leg for the meat wagon to come pick broken bodies up though.... You can get the same ride (With a lecture ) and get dropped off @ the front door it does suck! I have had to sit in the waiting room many times reading signs of different languages to keep me occupied oke:

P.S. Hope your hand heals up quick and you are out fishing again soon

I know exactly how you feel. I foolishly hooked my little finger on a 4-0 6x hook taking a plug down from a hanger on the ceiling. It went through the finger with the barb inside the flesh. Being my right hand and having arthritus in my hands I couldn't cut the hook to pull it through. My wife couldn't cut the hook either so I snipped the split ring and went to the local hospital to have it removed. I also sat for 5 hours with that trebble hook sticking out of the finger. When finally treated they took x-rays and went through the usual preliminaries. The doc took one look and used a pair of snippers that cut the hook easily, pulled it through and discharged me in all of 5 minutes.

On the humorous side................

Charlie's wife, Lucy, had been after him for several weeks to paint
the seat on their commode. Finally, he got around to doing it while
Lucy was out. He left to take care of another matter before she
returned. She came in and undressed to take a shower.

Before getting in the shower, she sat on the commode. As she tried to stand up, she realized that the not-quite-dry epoxy paint had glued
her to the commode seat. About that time, Charlie got home and
realized her predicament.

They both pushed and pulled without any success whatsoever. Finally,
In desperation, Charlie undid the commode seat bolts. Lucy wrapped a sheet around herself and Charlie drove her to the Hospital Emergency Room.

The ER Doctor got her into a position here he could study how to free
her. Lucy tried to lighten the embarrassment of it all by saying
"Well, Doctor, I'll bet you've never seen anything like this before".
The Doctor replied "Actually, I've seen a lot of them. I just never
saw one FRAMED before. =============
