Low tide treasures

been eyeballing these pots for over 2 weeks, they were on a cliff that holds over 30-40mangled and abandoned lobsterpots. I took them before the surf wasted them in the rocks. The place I salvaged them is like a graveyard of lobsterpots. I dont think people who pot traps over there ever go looking along the cliff. its too fn gnarley! the pots didnt have numbers either, is there a salvage clause here or should i have left them there to die in the surf?

LTT's are the best!
The last time I had my kids down the beach my daughter pulls a nice pencil out of a clump of seaweed!

The bricks in either end of the traps have four numbers on them if the traps were legal. Those numbers would be the last four numbers of the owners social security number which serves as his/her license number.

i didnt know that..i dont wanna be considered a lobsterpot theive. I heard someone refer to it today on another board, like it was petty car radio theivery..lol..well im not like that. i just didnt wanna see them get wasted. i wasnt planning on using them anyway. I was gonna give em to someone who would. i dont think the bouys are legit either, no numbers on either one and one of them is just plain white! hah..either way i dont need them, or want someone elses pots on my conscience. This weekend they're goin back into the rocks to be destroyed by the sea.

thanks for informing me
