110 swimmers! No one has a use for 110 swimmers, unless you are selling them, and if you are selling them at the same time you are just learning to make them, well then you don't need any saltyballs, your own are too big to start. Regardless, if you are asking how to weight a popper, it seems to me the best ones float/sink only slightly tail down. The heavy tail weight/vertical float thing seems to do better with spooks and pencil poppers.

If you do not take critisism very well, this is the wrong place for you. Learn to give and take, it's what life is all about!

that is not what i meant , i do not sell plugs because most plug builders in the stores and on the beach where i fish talk trash about other builders on the beach,{ there like, no buy mine ,NO BUY MINE} im there to fish and hang out with friends, not to get a headache!
im a carpenter i deal with customers all the time , good with the bad

best popper i ever made was a ccb plunker type, big mouth on a short body ,, I did not have model to copy so I just winged it . I weighted it with one 00 buckshot 1" back of belly hook . It was yellow with a siwash, long yellow tied hook in the back . I lost it . I'll try to make another someday . I say it was the best because after spitting water it would do a little S wiggle . Bob Pond reportedly said the best poppers swim . That comment facinates me .. If I was making poppers , that would be my quest .

dont put any weight in the nose......use a tail weight and some weight before or after the belly hook.
