Thoughts & Prayers for Fishnfool

from another thread - JohnR

Im not sure when Ill be back to the site My dad died this morning and Im the oldest and need to be with the family.

hope everyone has a safe and healthy Holiday.

Joe

Wow,
Thanks guys for the thoughts and prayers. Its very strange being on this end as Im usually sending prayers to others.

I guess Ill try to start the healing process this way.
Me and my father havent been close in almost 10yrs, not that I dont think of him everyday. I miss having a Father figure around someone who I could look up to, show that trophy fish too or tell me itll be ok... etc. Some have that I didnt. I lost mt dad to Alcholism, he started drinking after having a accident at work and needing a back fusion done in the early 80's, which never worked. pain pills and beer/whiskey was the start of his downfall and death yesterday of Cerroisis of the liver. The autopsy came back with complications of the liver (failure), but he was found between the sofa and a wall, I now think he was in serious distress and tried to make it to the phone and either his legs gave out because of his back {he couldnt walk without help} or pain.
I thought yesterday that Im glad hes not in pain anymore and isnt dependent on Alchohol, but after hearing the Doctor tell me he most likley suffered for a few hours wedged in between that couch and wall "alone" just isnt something a family needs to hear.
You always hope when the lord comes for you that its quick and peaceful, just hurts alot more now.

Im sorry if this post isnt appropriate or is too detailed, I needed to get this out and I know alot of guys from here and SOL and Noreast and bassbarn websites frequent most sites, and since John R was thinking of me and my family Id like to let you guys know how Im feeling.

Again thanks so much to all my internet friends, things couldnt come at a worse time with having broncitis and finding out I need surgery on my foot and ankle.

God Bless everyone

Joe

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
