BIG SQUID
I finnished this one today, it's body is 6"long 1.1/4 round weight is 2.6
the feathers an deer hair is another 6" on a 3/0 3561ED hook, Bellyhook is 2/0 3561ED. I like the shine in the hook over the VMC'S
just to give it a little more glitter. eye is 3/4 molded.the paint is white, w/red on top, the another coat of white over the red so they both belnded together, in the light it's WHITE ! in a shadow it's PINKISH-RED to it, should look cool in the depths.
GOOD LUCK GOOD PLUGGIN

Very nice looking plug. In my experience however, a 1.25 in. dia plug would be better off with a 3/0 belly hook.

Salty.... I am doing through wire with a Delta shopmaster mini drill press,,,$99 at lowes,,,, it does ok,,,,,,I use a short bit first then the long bit,,,,,, just have to go slow and make sure I set up a plumb line to a screw and center it before I get started,,, There is a page here on how to do it,,,
I think your plugs look great,,,, I could not imagine what you could do with an airbrush....... you could get one cheap from michaels and use the canned air or go to www.bearair.com ....
I look forward to seeing more stuff,,,,,,

Those tails are beautiful. Wish I could do that. Maybe we can do a trade. I'll send you 2 plugs you do the tails and send one plug back to me. PM me if you are interested. Paul

Salty;
Give some thought to using Siwash hooks on the tail. That way you are not getting chewed up while trying to get a blue fish off all those trebles. That plug would be pissa with a 3/0 treble on the belly and a 5/0 Siwash (tied with hair etc) on the tail !
