theres some scenes in the movie where they show him in a gulfstream, trying to conserve energy. Nothing like having your private jet bring you from place to place.

Gulfstream Gore telling us to conserve...... ......I havent seen any debunking, only free passes given to the Liberal elite. One coast to coast trip in a Gulfstream equals one years H2 emissions.

It's a silly argument unless you're looking at the true net carbon footprint of the man and his influence.
Traveling in a Gulfstream might allow him to influence more people which has a multiplication effect for the greater good.
While I don't agree with everything Gore is preaching, I think he's doing it for the right reasons...
And I do give him some credit for the short-term direction change in parts of the energy industry and our government.

i havent seen the movie and i have no idea if it's debunked or not...so my opinion is completed invalid but, he's trying to do a good thing, no??
If he's running around to all these places trying to educate people on such a matter of course he's using more energy than most Americans...most Americans are to fat to care about anything except what's for dinner.
Im gonna agree with spence on this one.
to be quite honest im tired of the conservative liberal banter....either your doing something positive for this country or your not.

The man had 8 years to do SOMETHING about it, and a pretty big carbon footprint to do it with.

Lets not forget John Edwards of NC who tells us to conserve energy while he is completing a 28,000 sqf home.

A very good point about time you made sense. My folks sailed around the world in a 40 footer and they told me there was trash everywhere. In the Altlantic, Pacific, Souht Seas, Indian Ocean. EVERYWHERE!!!!. The other thing they said that 90% of the worlds population is dirt poor. An the US is the biggest tool on the planet, we use up everything, everywhere.

he put together the raise awareness concerts.....(about global warming) coming soon
and that for a political figure is stupendous.... a billion people
will go to them or be influenced by them.... and hopefully future generations too... that is a big step in the right direction.

I think we should all strive to have the same carbon footprint as Al. I heard one of the concerts will be in Antartica, Let's multiply the number of concert goers by the fuel they will use. That should help global warming
