I just got back in from Duxbury Bay. The wind kicked up almost as soon as I was full steam and it turned into a jacuzzi. My little flat bottom just dosn't like the light sloppy stuff. Went way in shore on the high tide and just caught glimpses of schools on the hummingbird. Nothing caught though.

Went to the bank today and the fish were VERY cooperative. They loved the "bugs" early then the jigs. They were chasing the sand eels. There weren't any super sized schools but properly executed drifts were the ticket. 4:1 shorts to keepers was the call of the day. Came home with MUCHO FILETS. All in all an awesome day weather and quantity wise.

Sat and Sun

Hey guys,

I finally have something to contribute. Splashed the boat Sat for the first time. Ran to the H buoy and nothing was doing. Decided to run to the bank. The boat was running awesome! Fished east of the bank and boat several keeper cod and haddock all on clams. Fished in about 210 ft and surface temp 42- 44 degrees. Whales, porpoises, and seals all over. This was my first time ever cod or haddock fishing in New England. It is a far run for bottom fishing IMO. Anyway, loved it so much went Sunday as well. I didn't get out till mid afternoon. The fish cooperated but not as heavy as Sat.
I have never filleted a cod till Sat and noticed they have alot of worms in them. Anyone else ever experience this???

I hit the bank as well in my new ride with my son. We caught alot of cod, no haddock. We had about the same ratio as keeper. Great day for sure!

Hard to catch a cod that DOESN'T have worms.

I hear ya. We were going on Walshs boat the AC with a bunch of guys and they cancelled it. I don't know why. I'm not happy. This is the second time the trip was cancelled. Took the day off and everything.

i went out yesterday. we limited out in a half day - fish to 12 lbs. lots of life out there. whales were putting on the feedbag. i saw a trail of bubbles next to the boat and thought to myself "this can't be good".
