Hooks For BM-Gibbs Style Needle
Guys, quick question for you....
I recently got a couple of 8"/3oz BM Gibbs Style Needles

And was wondering what the best set-up - Hook Size, Treble/Dress Siwash in the rear etc. ? And I assume NO split rings on these aswell ?
Thanks In Advance....
Steve

4/0 VMC treble in the belly and a 6/0 dressed siwash on the tail. The split ring thing is personal preference.

Single tail hooks dressed with feathers/bucktail cast and sway better if you use a split ring. You will need to twist the tail loop 90 degrees to do this right.

I think what NS is trying to imply..The tail Loop should be horzontal. So when u add the splitring the hook lies straight..Looks like the top one is that way already..So u won't have to turn it.
