best time & lure to use for 50# plus

I know at night is the best time to get a big fish .. maybe someone could let me in on some new or oldI, I like vintage ways better because they are tried true . please want a 50# or bigger bad ....thanks moosh

August, bathing beach, middle of the day, popper..........be sure to hold your reel upside down...........seems to work year after year.
