Hi Jim,
I'm not sure,but I think the only difference between the 4000 and 5000 is the spool.The 5000 holds more line.Maybe you want the 2500 size,but that is pretty small.I use it for smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing.

On the FG models the 5000 and 6000 are the same body. The Stradic FH models have the 4 and 5000 match while the 6 and 8000 are the same.
