finishing an unfinished plug

how exactly do u finish an unfinished plug. i have a few plugs (not sure the make of them, but not any of the big names) that have a slim plastic film comin off them which i believe to be the finishing. bare wood is now showing and im sure if i were to keep fishing with it as it is, it would rot. anyone have sugestions? thanks mike

Strip the plugs. Seal the wood and repaint. Then give them a coat of Devcon epoxy.
This is ofcourse if they are worth that much to you.

wallmart.
and before you do any of this you need to know its not fast thing to do you will need to let the plug dry out for a few days after fishing it be fore you start than sand seal let dry fo a few days prim let dry for a day paint let dry foe a day and epoxy and re hook.
thats a lot of work for a 2$ plug you just as well make one from the start.

good luck
