where to stay on the vineyard
need a one night stay....middle of august (ya, I know), just found out about it today
don't want to mortage the house on this one
any recommendations

Wife and I did a quick honeymoon there.
not fancy, not expensive, walking distance to beach and water (and ferry)
clean and well maintained though.

lots of cottage rental options, no fees, directly through homeowners. I used it last year for a place in vinyard haven and this year for a place in Edgartown

Titticut Follies; a gingerbread hous in Oak Bluffs with 3 or 4 rooms. Spent a week there during the 2005 derby, but I think they rent by the night.
