---250lb tuna on striper rig
Captains Mike Bousaleh and Ronnie Munafo landed
a 250Lb tuna on a striper rig last week. Did not see
any news on this web but pix are on MSBA.net.
Apparently took over 90 minutes to boat and a little
English on the rod. Nice work if you can get it.

That's cool. I bet the drag washers on that Abu could use changing now.

That fish was probably closer to 170-180 not 250. It would be a borderline giant according to the size/weight charts. Still an amazing accomplishment.

I know of a 150# tuna on a VS250 and a Gloomis Pro Blue last weekend. Under 40 minutes. Lots of relatively light tackle tuna being landed.

I've read it as 300lbs on a few other boards!
It's been growing since we caught it !
And instead of the 90 minutes to land it, it took us 2 1/2 hrs

Took 3 days to reel in.
