Celebration

The sun had just set as I walked toward one of my favorite casting areas. I saw the big white tents on the lawn in the backyard of a mansion. Big party tonight I thought. Just hope they don't have fireworks as they often do. Just seems fireworks blasted over my surfcasting area puts a damper on my success. Around 9:30 the music starts and I recognize some of the tunes from the 1970s. Very good jazzy/funk sound. Good band for a wedding I thought. I continue to cast my live eels and tap my korkers to the beat of the music, every once in a while interrupted by a take. At 1030 I lose my last eel to a fat 20 pound fish as "Celebration" plays in the background. Time to go. I walk by the tent and peer into the back of the stage - which is facing the water. Kool and the Gang are finishing their set for the private party benefit for the CVS Charity Golf Tournament. Kool jumps off the back of the stage and sees me watching and gives me a wave. Interesting night.

clean up and severs/cooks . I like weddings at harkness Sp old mansion and sometimes great toons into the late night . and drucken ladies wondering to the water and asking if Im fishing . No im .........
