Which Hooks for Live Pogies???

The pogies I'm snagging and netting for livelining are pretty big, 10" and up on average. Last night, I had one get hit, let drag scream for a four count , and then set the hook. Nothing but two LARGE scales on the hook when retrieved....... I did land on other pogie, but want to improve on technique/set up
I am hooking laterally just forward of dorsal fin, using a short shank barbed hook. What hooks do you use for livelining? And where are you hooking the pogies? Just want to compare notes. Thanks
