Why do they club them? Leave it to the Canadians. I just thought it was funny how crude and outdated thier hunting method is. Sorry guys, bad use of judgment.

They club them so that they don't FU the fur. Any other way would be too dangerous anyway. They pretty much kill cattle the same way, just not on the snow. Has anyone ever eaten seal? I wonder what they taste like.

funny joke about getting rid of seals.

not so funny reality about slaughtering them in brutal ways. especially considering none of them are considered sacred. young and old, mother and pup alike. beaten to death with a club.. if they are lucky. and dont end up living for a while after bleeding out in pain.

this raises a question though.. wtf do they use the seals for again? fur coats come to mind. food.. but i dont the clubbing industry goes culling for food. thats left to natives who actually rely on them.. uh.. maybe perfume from the oils? like with whales... none of which in my mind warrants going out and clubbing em to death.

anyone else know what they use em for?

Leave it to the Canadians, what do you mean by that? I'm Canadian and I have a problem with this practice so what are you trying to say here? Can you say ethnic slur!

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.

How is Canadian "ethnic"? Isnt it a country reference? There are hundreds of different ethnic backgrounds in Canada.

um, that's fine for those little seals, but have you ever been chased out of the surf by an angry 400 lb. bull seal on the beach?

i have. damn near $hit my waders.

you're gonna need a bigger stick for the local seals, my friend.

kind of reminds me of a little short that I saw on the twilight zone, or something like that..

Fat stupid fisherman, catched a micro sunfish, gets all excited and keeps it...

He keeps fishing... notices an apple sitting on the rock next to him.... being fat and stupid... he eats it....

He then notices the monofilament running from his mouth and the hook is set! He starts grabbing his throat, bleeding profusely from his mouth, and is pulled into the water.

end short.
