Freshwater Fish Pics

Something to pass the time. Gets cold and there is ice in the quides, but a lot of fun using trout gear. Trying for a teen sized fish but these Salmon fight great no matter what size. The first one tried to bite me a few times. Evil.

I was worried about leaving the 'fall run' for a trip to the Great Lake tributaries, but I think I made the right move...

A nice male brown from a Lake Ontario trib: fooled with a pink egg pattern on a 6 wgt.

I'd say so. I want a 5lb + Brown on the fly. Goal for next year is to travel with the fly rod.

No power bait. Missed a nice Salmon tonight, took a lot of line and the circle just didn't catch. It seems they need to run a while with the fish before they swallow it. I let it run for a while. Missed 3 the other night as well. Ended up with a couple of Browns and a Large Mouth. Any one else have any pics? TO where are your Steel Head Pics?

I didn't do much freshwater fishing at all. Got this 5 1/2 lb largemouth as the sun came up on the Fourth of July this year. My brother got a 7lber in the same spot the week before.

Nice pics guys.

CH, that place looks like a spot near my house. If it is the same place, there's a lot of them that size in there. End of April/early May is good there too.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
