I believe they're unweighted .. arse is 5/8"
6" goo goo .. measuring hooks from head 1 1/2 " 3 3/4" eye ball is at 1",, plug stays 1 1/4" from head to 3 1/8" down body than gradual slope to 5/8" at tail ..

8 1/8 " goo goo ...hooks measuring from the head 1 3/4" ,, 4 5/8" eye ball 1"...plug stays 1 1/4" 4 3/8" down body ,, there it slopes to 5/8" at tail ...

slope may be tricky .. might want to buy a beater somewhere as refferance..epay

No weight on most all I have seen ,although I have done them with belly, or chin, and a few with small tail weight's. You can do what ever you want. The more popular ones seem to be the 6 inch and the 8 inch ones. 5/8 is about right for both models on tail dia. The dimensions vary as I have a bunch of originals and the dia.'s are not all the same, but close. When you make them install the lip first, because it is screwed on. It is a lot easier doing the belly holes in relationship to the lip than vise versa. The only pictures I got are ones I made and they are long gone. I need to make some more, very soon. If you want some pictures of some originals I can go down cellar and take some pictures or someone else can put some up. There are several goo goo aficionados around here. Let me know. Good luck.

I have a few of these. Here is a link to a thread I put up with some pictures.
http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripert...ad.php?t=30022

If you want any close ups let me know.

As Tagger pointed out they aren't weighted. Some of the poppers have a small weight, but none of the goo goos I have seen ever had much weight in them. I think they were made out of pine and they all had screw eyes not glued in either. They seemed to hold up pretty well.

I am still trying to figure out with these designs screw eyes vs thru wire. I have made some repros and I get much better action with screw eyes. especially with the poppers. Could just be me, but that is what I have found.
Mike CC now has the lips to make some of the big swimmers. I picked some up and look forward to turning some out this spring.

Good luck,

Eric

I just measured a bunch of GooGoo's
The large one "Big Daddy" was between 8" & 8 1/4". The majority was between 8 & 8 1/8". I even had one yellow/ black swirl that was 7 15/16". The smaller version"Husky Dude" also varied between 6 & 6 1/4".
