Big Day for little RIJimmy

My little guy, 4 yrs old, got his first bass Sunday. I spent the morning fishing and picked up my Mom, wife and kids to go for a cruise on the bay and have lunch. We stopped on an island and my son and I practiced casting with a storm shad. My daughter, who is usually interested in fishing was too busy collecting shells. Second cast, he caught a schoolie. A few times he wanted to hand me the rod because it was pulling too hard. My wife took ( a really lame) pic, I didnt think we were that far away. He had bass thumb this morning!

On the way back in, came upon a HUGE pod of bunker, all schooled tight. The water was glass and you could see them swim under the boat. I had the kids snag a few with me and one had a fish follow it in. I threw out a Big Fish pencil popper and thought I hooked a nice bass, fought like hell, turned out to be a big blue. The kids were really into it. My wife had one blue on and lost it.
