This is the best we could do today, but he did drop a fish about #30 (along with a vintage BM danny), when I failed to check the kid's leader after he caught a rat blue.

Been getting large fish from shore pretty steadily since late May. So far the best spring I've had for quality fish since the early 90's. I've taken close to 20 fish in the 25-33# range so far from the surf and countless high teen to low 20# size. Everything on rubber and wood except for one fish. Numbskull will be proud of me.Hopefully it will continue with the new moon coming up.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole

Sadly, he and his older brother are just getting into it now. I was too intense about fishing for them when they were smaller. That and way too much high level organized sport. They've turned out well though, and what will be, will be.

From Thursday am on an old gibbs pencil.
Went a few oz shy of 30#.The fish went completely airborne when it hit the pencil. Had a treble puncture between the gills and bled so I took it home. Weighed it in for the cup, but it will hopefully get knocked off soon.

Nice Fish Mikey!!!
I'm stuck in the same pattern and I am NOT complaining. Lot's of fish up to 25#. A bit concerned as I have not caught a schoolie this year. I should have seen one by now even with just live lining.
