New Fireline Braid
Has anyone used the new Fireline braid yet? I guess it is actual braided line, with a round profile. Comes in up to 65lb test.
I love the current Fireline, which i refer to as braid, but i guess its not.

If you mean the Fireline crystal, then yes, love it.
I used Fireline before but had a problem with the carbon(?) dust coming off and the fraying. Have been using the crystal this past season and a half (20 and 30 lb test) with fish up to 26 lb in the rocks without problem and definitely prefer it.
None of the fraying, and pretty forgiving when it comes to gently unravelling the (occasional) wind knot.....
I use a 3-5 ft 30 or 50 lb test mono leader to the lure.

Not the Crystal. This was brand new at Bass Pro. This is actual "Braid", and not the XD crap they put out a few years ago.
I have a couple reels with 30lb crystal, one with black 30# and one with the yellow 30lb.

Yes. I have the #20 on a small spinning reel that I've used daily for about 2 months. Have not had any problems with it, although it has gotten "fuzzy" for lack of a better word. It also no longer wraps very neatly [loose wraps]. I throw light stuff so the loose wraps are not a problem. It might be with heavier lures.

Interesting. I like Fireline, but I wonder what this line is like.
