Fishing with Aliens a slow shark season

Okay most of you that really know me know im not all there in the head. Im about 5 years old at times which is why I get along with the kids at the fishing academy so well. Add some of the slowest shore shark fishing in recent years for me and what do you get......some crazy nights to remember...lol

No alcohol or drugs are involved in any of this, just making the best of slow fishing. Besides it being a slow one I had some great times with good people and one hell of a B-day this year. Thanks to those that made the trip to fish with me this year.

There was also a little playing war with army men, which are a blast when you get to use fire in the game. If my parents had only let play with matches when I was younger.

On the serious side, the shark fishing was some what slow. I managed 8 fish to a little over 100lbs in about 20 trips. Most were on the small side 25-30lbs. I did get to tag and release 6 this season which was pretty cool and one shark that had been caught in a gill net which I removed then tagged him and released him in great condition. By Feb of 2009 we will no longer be able to legally target these fish anymore, which I find sad since the commercial season for them is still open.

Oh that makes perfect sense to me....trying to save the species by stopping recs from fishing for them but leave the commercial season in place.......sure...makes sense!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I agree Larry, They are now protected federaly, but they leave the commercial fisheries open so they can get an assement on the species. makes no sence since not many recreational fishermen target them or even keep them.
